William Shakespeare (baptised 26 April 1564; died 23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Shakespeare
At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, with whom he had three children: Susanna, and twins Hamnet and Judith.
1592 finds Shakespeare in London where he becomes famous because of his first plays.
Shakespeare died on 23 April 1616
PLAYS
He was a prolific writer. By the end of his life he had written 16 comedies, 10 historical plays and 12 tragedies as well as poetry! Many of them are well-known all over the world:
Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Othello!
