Bull Frog Adaptations Adaptations: How animals survive in their own environment with the characteristics that they have to be able to survive in their habitat. Habitat: Bullfrogs live in small or big swamps, lakes, or ponds. During days of rain, like other amphibians they like to be overland. They can live longer if they are in a warmer weather. Bullfrog Video The hind legs of the Bullfrog are very powerful and strong. It allows them to jump one to two meters, and this helps them to surprise it's prey. This special characteristic helps them to survive in their habitat, because it helps them catch it's prey and not die of hunger. Also another of the characteristics that the Bullfrogs depend on to survive is to camouflage. The color of the Bullfrogs may vary to a brownish to shades of green, often with dark spots on the back. This colors help the Bullfrog to hide from their enemies. It helps the Bullfrog to be able to survive in their habitat, and prevent to get eaten by predators. The Bullfrogs have teeth on the roof of their mouth that help themeat the prey that they catch. Mostly of it's food consists of bats, birds, insects, spiders, and other animals. This characteristic helps the Bullfrog to survive, because it helps it eat it's prey. Bullfrogs have powerful tongues that helps it catch insects or spiders, and also many of it's food. It's tongue has very strong muscles that allow the Bullfrog to catch it's prey much easier. This adaptation helps it survive in it's habitat to help it catch it's prey. It also has well developed eyes that can practically see all directions. This helps the Bullfrogs see if their are predators around of preys. This adaptation helps the frog to prevent to be eaten by a predator , and also it can sneek better behind it's prey.
