About the author
Louisa May Alcott was an American novelist and poet best known as the author of the novel Little women (1868) and its sequels Little Men (1871) and Jo's Boys (1886).Nevertheless, her family suffered severe financial difficulties and Alcott worked to help support the family from an early age.

Summary
There was a little girl named Tabitha Tarbell, a slender girl . She was fourteen years old. She was carrying a basket of eggs .She was taking a secret massage to Deacon Cyrus Hosmer .He lives at the end of the town. While she walking happily, suddenly her cheeks turned pale she saw two strangers, immediately she understood it was the British people. Even though they wore normal dress. She understood because she has done this job many times and she used to do it well.they asked her where Mr Bliss live, now she was sure that these people where the British soldires. she told politely that he lives down a bit further.
then she went and told what happened to Deacon Cyrus Hosmer. so he send Tabby to Mr Bliss's house whith some eggs

Summary

So she went to Mr. Bliss's house with the
eggs that Deacon Cyrus Hosmer sent. She
saw the two strangers and Mr. Bliss sitting
in the living room. They talked in a very low
voice. She went to the kitchen and presented
her eggs to the maid and Mrs. Bliss. She asked
if she could help them in beating eggs.
The maid asked her to leave the kitchen,
she acted as if she was angry.
Summary
When she passed through the living room
she got an idea to hide under the table.
Captain Brown and the junior British soldier were hungry and started to eat. After sometime they asked Mr. Bliss if
the people were going to fight. Mr. Bliss said yes, Captain Brown stamped his feet in anger on Tabby's hand. Tabby felt the pain but did not move. When they were about
to leave the table, Tabby gave a sneeze.
Captain Brown was about to lifted the table cloth just then the cat came from under the table. So they thought it was the cat.
Summary
Tabby ran to Deacon Cyrus Hosmer's
house and told about what happened
at Mr.Bliss's house. The British American
people had time to move all the supplies
to a nearby town. When the war started
the British American people got their
independence. Mr. Bliss's house was taken by the government and given in auction. Tabby's uncle gave the table cloth as a reward for her help.
