Thesis: A Comparative Study on LED and LCD Monitors Computers are important electronic devices in a world of technology in which changes need to be made so as for all sorts of improvements to be made possible in all sorts of domains. Computers need to be good quality ones in order to enable such improvements. A very important hardware component which is said to widely influence the performance of our computers is the monitor on which results which come from all kinds of instructions which we require for the computer system to operate are displayed.
Nowadays there are numerous models of computer monitors available for everyone. Most of them are interested in learning more about them to analyze and compare. Many users have also been interested in being able to learn about important aspects related to the idea of considering a LED versus LCD monitors comparison, as they are widely used nowadays and users should be able to decide which of them they might enjoy more working with.

Chapter 4 PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA Graph 1 Table 1 Table 2 Graph 2 Graph 3 Chapter 5 Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation Summary This study aims to know the difference between LCD and LED monitors. Using the descriptive analytic method of research, the proponent who design a survey-questionnaire completed by forty (40) people, twenty (20) respondents for LCD monitor users and twenty (20) respondents for LED monitor users, the proponent collects large amount of information within the possible minimum time. The number of respondents for each of the variables is twenty (20) that’s why t-test was used to determine if the null hypothesis is accepted or not. Conclusion According to the data, the proponent came up with the following conclusions:

a. Most of the respondents used LED monitors for more than a year.

b. Size and resolution is most preferred by the respondents in choosing a monitor for both LCD and LED monitor.

c. Poor picture quality is the common problem encountered by the users of LCD monitors, while no display is the common problem encountered by the users of LED monitors.

d. Seldom of the users experienced that they encountered problems with their monitors.

e. Both monitors were rated very well by the respondents.

f. There is no significant difference between LCD and LED monitors. Recommendation Related to the conclusions mentioned, the proponent humbly recommended the following:
a. For manufacturers of monitors, improve the manufacturing of monitors to fix the problems related to it using this study and other related studies about monitors.
b. For the students, especially those who uses LCD or LED monitors, be wise in choosing a monitor to enjoy using it.
c. For the other researchers, continue or expand on the study towards the detection of more relevant data or information which may assist in expanding the knowledge of the differences between LCD and LED monitors. The respondents of the study are the LED and LCD monitors users. They are chosen based on their availability since only few persons can afford either of the two monitors. As long as a person uses either of the monitor, the proponent tried his best in order to get the necessary information from such user.
The respondents were divided into two groups. The former were the LCD monitor users while the other was LED monitor users. The two groups have the equal number of respondents in order for the proponent to work easily and get a good conclusion. Thank You! Chapter 3 RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY RESEARCH DESIGN The study used the descriptive analytic method of research. The proponent tried to present and analyze the significant difference between LED monitors and LCD monitors to the nearest possible convenient way. RESPONDENTS Locale of Study Research Instrument The study used the survey method in order to get necessary amount of information that will be needed in this study. This method will allow the proponent to collect large amount of information within the possible minimum time. Data Gathering Procedure The proponent has prepared sample survey questionnaires. These survey questionnaires were given to a particular respondent either on a sheet of paper or through online (Facebook). The data collected from the survey where then tabulated and graphed. Then the proponent does the necessary work to analyze and compare the data. Statistical Tool Treatment The study is basically a comparison between two variables, thus it requires a little bit complicated statistical tool. Since the number of respondents for each of the variables is less than twenty (20), t-test will be used. Two sample mean t-test is used when comparing two sample mean wherein their standard deviation is given and their corresponding sample size is less than thirty (30). The study is done from different places around Metro Manila Philippines. The level of significance that will be used is 0.05. This level of significance together with degree of freedom will be used to determine the critical value to which t value will be compared to determine if null hypothesis is accepted or not. Conceptual Framework Scope and Delimitation of the Study The study will focus on the performances of the monitors and its appeal to the common users. It will be only limited to those people who uses LED or/and LCD monitors. It will also include the problems encountered by users in using such monitors. This study will determine if there’s a significant difference between LED and LCD monitors. This study can be the used as basis for the users of monitors. The proponent expects that through this study, users will be aware on the different problems in using such monitor.
Therefore, knowing the difference between LCD and LED monitors can help people to make an idea on what monitor will suit them.
Chapter 1 Hypothesis H₀0: There is no significant difference in the performance of LED and LCD monitors.

H₁1: There is a significant difference in the performance of LED and LCD monitors. Is there a significant difference in the performance of LED and LCD monitors? What are the common problems encountered by the user in using these monitors? What satisfaction rate is given by the users to the monitor they are using?
