Transcript of The London Eye Mystery - Siobhan Dowd

Siobhan Dowd The London Eye Mystery What Goes up, Must come Down....Mustn't it? Blurb The Blurb is part of the reason why I bought this book. It doesnt give away too much information about it but it does get you intrigued, it makes you want to find out what happens in the end. It also introduces the characters. Characters Ted - Ted's brain runs on its own unique operating system. Ted has asperga syndrome that makes him remember everything long term but forget some short term things. Kat - Kat is Teds big sister. She is bossy, annoying and loves to pick on Ted and be mean to him. Salim - Kat and Ted are Salims cousins. Salim is half indian, half english and he is the one who gets lost on the London Eye. Auntie Gloria - A.K.A Hurricane Gloria or Auntie Glo, according to Ted and Kats dad,' she's called hurricane Gloria because she leaves a path of devistation in her wake.' Author Siobhan Dowd Siobhan was born in London but she had Irish parents. Siobhan died of breast cancer on 21st August 2007, age 47, and was born on 4th february 1960. Dowd was married twice. Her first marriage broke down in the early 1990s and she subsequently moved to New York City, where she worked for PEN American Center. Dowd spent seven years in New York until she returned to London in 1997, to spend more time with her family. In 2000 she met Geoff Morgan, a librarian at Oxford Brookes University. They married in March 2001 in Wales. What did i think about the book? I liked that it was very detailed and it always left you on a cliff hanger at the end of every paragraph. I think that at The beginning it keeps going off course and doesn't get to the point. It needs to have less babbling and more action and adventure. I dont really know how to pronounce her name but i think its pronounced shervorn My Prediction In my book I got up to page ... and chapter ... . I Think that the main characters, Ted and Kat, will find where their cousin, Salim, is and they will find out why and how he did it, where he went and when and why and who was involved. i think that Salim went missing because he didn't want to move to New York and I think that his mum, Auntie Gloria, has something to do with it as well.
