Tumblr is a very different social networking site. It's a sort of blogging website, called a micro-blogging site.

About Fourteen percent of teenagers who use the internet keep up a blog, according to a study released by Pew Internet and American Life Project, giving tumblr the perfect area to find it’s niche within the world wide web.
How to sign up
All you need is an email, then you create your password, and your custom blog.
What can you do?
So, after the user has created or chose their theme, and initially their blog, they have a multitude of choices in content to fill it with. The user is given 7 initial types of posts at first.

he was 20 years old, in February of 2007 with Marco Ament.
Present day, Karp is the CEO of Tumblr with a net worth that exceeds $200 million.

Now, it's time to make your blog your own. There's so many things you can do.

The background image is a completely random image taken from a random blog each time the webpage is visited.
First, you should choose a theme, or create one yourself. There's tons to choose from.
Next, find some things to add to your blog, whether it be music, custom mouse cursors, or little animated animals walking around. There's so much you can do, just look around!

This is just a small example of the multitude of content a user can fill their own blog with.
