The Horn:
is a high cliff at the side of Shield river looking over the water (kind of like.........) it's also the cliff where "a random woman" jumped off to which they though was her death. They were wrong however since it was an artist named Monroe Swimmer dressed as a woman.
Theme:
Through art, Monroe Swimmer shows the strength and perseverance of the First Nation Native Americans. He did this by painting the natives back into the paintings and covering up the white peoples properties by blending them into the landscape.
one memorable passage in the novel would be when Tecumseh's aunt and mother were talking:
"you giving it up?"
"why not?" says auntie casie."gave up the first time". auntie Cassie stretches her legs out and leans back. she sounds tired and ready to call truce. "second time should be be a snap"
Its a significant quote because this gives us the biggest clue about what really happend to her previous child Mia.
