The Wright Brothers
Transcript of The Wright Brothers
Baquero The inventors' names are Wilbur and Orville Wright, also known as the Wright Brothers. Wilbur Wright died in 1912 because of a terrible fever and Orville died in 1948 because of a heart-attack. The Wright Brothers grew up in Iowa and Ohio, Orville was born in Ohio and Wilbur in Indiana. Both brothers lived in Dayton, Ohio and worked in a bicycle shop, created by themselves. The Wright Brothers lived from the 19th century to the 20th century. Orville and Wilbur didn't invent anything that changed the world besides the airplane. Wilbur and Orville liked to build toys together. When both of them grew up they worked in a bicycle shop, where they built the airplane. Wilbur Wright was born in 1867 and Orville Wright was born in 1871. The Invention The airplane was created because America had always dreamed to fly, and since Wilbur and Orville loved to build things, they decided to create the airplane. It took about 8 days for Wilbur and Orville to create the airplane. It was an aircraft with a powered motor. It looked like a box-kite. The airplane was made from wood. The airplane was patented in 1906. It's patent number is # 821, 393. How did the Invention Change the World The airplane changed the world because it helped people to travel faster from one place to another and also let them learn about other cultures. The first airplane inspired other people to make more advanced airplanes by showing them how did the airplane's mechanism worked. Resources Books: Andrew Woods. 2005.
