In functie de procesul biologic, procesele metabolice pot fi:

catabolice


anabolice
Metabolismul Intermediar
Ansamblul transformarilor biochimice ale substantelor provenite din alimente, dar si cele proprii oganismului poarta numele de
metabolism intermediar.
Proteine si Lipide
Metabolismul Glucidelor
Cea mai mare partea glucidelor sunt depozitate sub forma de
glicogen
, in ficat si muschi.
METABOLISMUL
Prin
metabolism
se intelege totalitatea reactiilor de sinteza (
anabolism
) ori de degradare (
catabolism
), cu consum sau cu producere de energie, care au loc in organismele vii.
Produc energie prin reactii chimice
Refac echilibrul digestiv prin reactii biochimice
M.I. are rolul:
de a extrage energia chimica din substantele organice nutritive
de a transforma unitatile structural (aminoaczii) in structuri macromoleculare:
proteine, glucide, acizi nucleici
etc.
Metabolismul proteinelor
Metabolismul lipidelor
Glicogeneogeneza
consta in transformarea glucozei in glicogen (in ficat). Ficatul inmagazineaza intre 20-30 g glicogen.
Glicogenoliza
se refera la descompunerea glicogenului in glucoza si eliberarea acesteia in sange.
Proteinele au roluri foarte importante in organism, fiecare celula sau tesut fiind caracterizat printr-un anumit tip structurale proteina( rol plastic).
Lipidele reprezinta principalul rezervor energetic din organism, cu rol termoizolator,asigurand protectia organelor.
