Transcript of cyber bullying

How this act of bullying can ruin peoples lives Cyber Bullying Know the facts! Studies show that 1 in 4 kids ages 12-17 will get bullied at some point. Bullies, with the use of their stronger mental, physical or social strength, choose victims that are usually smaller then them. Usually, girls get bullied twice as much as boys, suprising right? STOP! But off campus it isn't the schools responsibility. Cyber Bullying v.s the LAW It's against the law! In Pennsylvania cyber bullying is a criminal offense that is punishable by jail time. All schools in PA are required to have a school law and written section in their student handbook. KONY 2012 The Effects of Cyber Bullying on the Victim When someone gets bullied they usually are hesitant to tell someone because they are embarrassed. They could feel anxiety, depression, anger or loneliness. Just Ignore It! By feeling this way, they could feel pressured to fall to drugs, alcohol, or bad decisions, such as suicide. Always tell someone!! How to stop cyberbullying Make technology devices more public so the user who is getting bullied doesn't have as much ability to check his messages. Talk to the "bullied" to convince them, who cares what others say, you are you and no matter what they say, they can't change you. If it gets to serious, time to call the authorities (police).
