Virus The Stop Online Piracy Act and Protect IP Act are both bills to try and stop piracy and to protect people's internet. These two bills were very controversial with the public. The laws would ban any unoriginal video on youtube. Yup, any lyrics video, scene from a show, or music video not run by VEVO. Luckily, these laws did not pass. and many others also blacked out for 12 hours. Reddit has a large community and it could get its message across crystal clear.

I personally think they shouldn't - WHY? Now, obviously the movies and music companies
are loosing big money. But there is a big risk in downloading it. I think people who upload it should be punished. Not the downloaders. They're not the ones doing infringement.
