EXPLORE THE TITANIC THE TITANIC Building THE TITANIC Through 1908-1909 ,OVER 15,000 IRISH WORKERS BUILT THE TITANIC .IT WAS 175FT TALL,94 FEET WIDE ,AND 882FT LONG(267M)LONGER THEN 2 FOOTBALL FILDS!TOMES ANDREWS AND THE WORLFF DESIGN DEPARTMENT DESIGNED IT.IT WAS THE MOST INCREDIBLE AND BIGGEST SHIP BUILT. AT THE TIME. IT WAS FINISHED ON MAY 21 1911 Passengers ON THE TITanic IN 1912 PEOPLE WERE SPLIT IN TO 3 CLASSES, FIRST CLASS WAS THE BUSINESS MEN, LAWYERS, AND RICH FAMILY. THEY HAD THE SKY DECK OF THE TITANIC. IT HAD FINER DINNERS AND MORE ACTIVITIES. SOME EVEN BROUGHT THEIR PETS ON BOARD ALONG WITH MAIDS, COOKS AND OTEHR SERVANTS WORKING FOR THEM. 2nd CLASS WASN'T MUCH DIFFERENT. 3rd CLASS, HOWEVER, CAME BAORD TO FIND JOBS AND MOST WORKED FOR FIRST CLASS. The RMS Titanic!
byamberwoolums the Titanic was known as the unsinkable ship but in 1912 it hit a iceberg 4days after it set sail.the Titanic has been known as a great disaster to all of us. sinking of the titanic on April 14 1912 the Titanic sailed against an ice burg almost hitting it. But it did side swipe the ice burg trying to turn around the massive 100-ft ice burg and not hit the RMS 's propellers. Even with trying to avoid more destruction to the Titanic the first five compartments slowly flooded causing the ship to pull forward. The passengers only had an hour and a half to escape. There were only 16 life boats less than the recommended 48 needed to carry everyone. 1178 people in each life boat. 2,224 people aboard the Titanic on the morning of April ,15 ,1912 ,1,502 people died leaving only 704 to survive. Most of the 1,502 bodies did not die by sinking, most were found on the surface of the Atlantic Ocean frozen to death. http://thefw.com/things-you-didnt-know-about-the-titanic/

http://thehaddams-killingworth.patch.com/articles/dr-robert-ballard-talks-about-discovering-titanic-5b404d12#video-9553134 things you didn't know about the Titanic *the life boats needed for a ship that size was 48 but the designer of the RMS thought the deck would be to crowded so he reduced it to 16 life boats *the Titanic almost crashed into another ship while leaving port finding the titanic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_maritime_disasters#Peacetime_disasters On september 1st ,1989 Dr.Robert Ballard and his team found the Titanic 12,460 feet below the Atlantic floor. after 4 other groups had tried and failed, Really Dr Ballard wasn't supposed to look for the Titanc. He was sent as a navy mission to find 2 other submarines that were weirdly on each side of the Titanic. But he didn't have much time after finding the submarines. He only had 12 days while the other groups had months. As he found the Titanic, there were hundreds of shoes scattered every where in it. He noticed everyone so happy that they found the Titanic but the shoes on the Titanic were from the millions of people that froze to death on the surface and slowly sank with the Titanic. All the bodies had decomposed leaving only their shoes . So he let the Titanic stay the way it was telling explorers not to touch it and to keep the RMS from rusting and rotting under water. He used an underwater machine that painted the Titanic to were it will not change and rust. the titanic is still there now still under the Atlantic with all the shoes of people that have died and will never change. http://www.titanic-titanic.com/titanic_timeline.shtml
www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyLjw0GAQoY * the captain was notified several times of a glazier heading in there direction and he litteraly told him to shut up and went back to a party that was apparantly more important * book was written 14years earlier with almost the same disaster in the story. A ship sailed the same month as the Titanic and crashed in to a ice burg with less lifeboats than needed then sank in the Atlantic Titanic is important, Why? The Titanic was the biggest passenger liner (the fastest and biggest ship) in the time period and one of the deadliest marine disasters in history! killing 1,502 people in a unneedlessly disaster. But also improved the safety on ships and improved the makings of ships for us. the Titanic is memorable for its incredible disaster. it is one of the most famous and tragic stories of all time including the mistery of who's fault it was really that the Titanic sank DETAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Titanic was most likely to sink more then people thought. While building the Titanic, one of the officers wanted to make the grand stair case bigger. they lowerd the bulkhead, a watertight compartment so water can be held in damage compartments. It is a lot safer when they are high so less of the compartments are filled with water. And they thought the deck was too clutterd with life boats and the people didnt pay to see life boats so they reduced the requirement to 16 from 48 and the captiain was notified several times about an ice burg heading the same direction
