• Utilize all Preset files, templates, and libraries
• Delete unused design elements as you go
• Send to Proofreading
• Save document and PDF
• Package for output
• Upload to the server
for print production
• Delete extraneous info
and graphics in all InDesign
and support files
• Preflight and fix major errors
• Prepare notes of
interest for PAs
Ensure client can
provide high resolution photos, MediaBank offers files at 150+ dpi at
full size or schedule
a photo shoot
REMEMBER:
The Midtown server
will only accept files
named in the
approved format

time to run Preflight
again and fix any
major problems
Design Process Tips
START HERE

• This folder has everything you need
ADJUST TO FIT YOUR NEEDS
• Open template file, change page size, update slug, save with new naming convention
DESIGN AND LAYOUT
• Presets, .25" bleeds, layers, color palettes, styles, and preferences should now be set
• Do not use pick-up Spanish, use Lorem Ipsum
• Large size files should be designed at 1/2 scale and noted in Slug
PRE-PRODUCTION
• Ensure vector and raster files are high resolution (150-300 dpi)
• Double check for proportional and accurate scaling
• Delete extraneous information, graphics, FPO files, and layers
• Check vector and raster files for bleed and die-line accuracy
• Do not send extra-large files; flatten PSD files to a minimum number of layers
• Finish the Release Checklist
