Evolution of the Earth:
When did he develop the theory?

How does the Theory of Evolution connect with
Inherit the Wind
Inherit the Wind is a play about a science teacher in a small Tennessee town who defies the law when he teaches the theory of evolution to his students.
What is the Theory of Evolution?
Evolution is the idea that living things in our world have come into being through unguided naturalistic processes starting over approximately 20 billion years.
At this time, most Europeans believed that the world was created by God in seven days as described in the bible.
Before Darwin's Theory ...
All in all, Darwin was a British scientist who laid the foundations for the theory of evolution and transformed the way we think about the natural world.
What made Darwin want to study evolution?
Darwin did not like the study of medicine and could not bear the sight of blood or suffering so Darwin began to speculate on how new species could arise by natural observable causes
In the small town, the people were extremely religious and therefore, Darwin's theory was outlawed because it taught against the creation of our world by God.
Where did he get the idea of evolution?
Darwin set out his ideas about how species evolved through time. He proposed that if natural selection drove change and that all life was interconnected.
