Transcript of Catching Fire Book Talk

By: Suzanne Collins
Catching Fire is a fiction novel and is the second book of the Hunger Games. It has 498 pg. and I have read them all. In this book Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have miraculously won the Hunger Games and think it is all over. But there are rumors that rebellions have formed and are going to overtake the Capitol. Somehow Katniss and Peeta are involved in the start of this upsising. Katniss has one last chance on her victory tour to prove that Petta and her are living for a reason and that the uprising must stop. If she can't do this task then district 12 will be blown to ruins.
Summary
Authors Message
The authors main message in the second of the three hunger games novels is to never give up! Katniss is a fighter and always stands up for herself and those she cares about even or perhaps especially when the odds are against her. She proves that anyone with bravery and the will to survive can succeed if they believe in themselves!

Connections to Characters
In this novel I can make a text- self` connection to the character Katniss Everdeen. Katniss is a person who always cares and stands up for herself even when the odds are against her. She thinks she can do anything as long as she believes in it. I am the same type of person. I am very talented and also believe I can do anything within my expectations. Like get perfect on tests, win nobel prizes, trophies, and become popular.

Personal Opinions
I personally think that Catching Fire was an excellent book with lots of violence, action, and adventure I liked how the action and intensity keeps increasing and how I can't to read Mocking Jay( the final book of Hunger Games.) For these reason I like Catching Fire. I would recommend this book to readers who like action, adventure and books that have a jarring story behind it.
May the odds be in your favor.
Hope You Enjoyed!
