Sumerians Achievements: The Amazing Inventions
The Sumerians were the firs people to build wheeled vehicles such as carts and wagons. Thanks to the wheel the world is compleetly different, and better.

Sumerians first used cuneiform to keep record for business, government , and temples. Cuneiform back then was the only way of communicating.

Cylinder Seals are hard rocks carved into round shapes and then rolled on wet clay o leave there mark. Now we call this a stamp.

The Sumerians were the first people in Mesopotamia to build large temples called Ziggurats. The kings lived in them.

The Sumerians learned to use the bronze, iron, silver, and gold they found to make strong tools and weapons.

The jewelers worked withe imported gold, silver, and bronze to make jewelery.

Most people lived in one-story houses with rooms arranged around a small courtyard.

The Sumerians invented a stringed instrument called a lyre. It features a cows head and is made of silver.
