Introduction to Manufacturing
An overview of the functional and structural compositions of manufacturing;
including processes, plant safety, and
quality in the manufacturing environment.
Presents the personal and interpersonal
skills: team building, effective
communication skills and ethics in the
workplace.

AMFG 102:
Tools and Equipment
Introduction to math, measurements, schematics, drawings, and prints used in manufacturing. Facilitates application of these skills to safely and correctly use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

AMFG 104:
Automation
Teaches an introduction to the automation components of manufacturing. Provides hands on experience with electrical circuits, instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), computers and how to safely use this equipment.

AMFG 106:
Introduction to Fabrication,
Process Technology and Machining
Presents an introductory knowledge of
fabrication, process technology and machining.
Offers hands on experience in each area.

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY CENTER:
Building is scheduled to be finished the end of May
Plans are in place to move the industrial technology and engineering departments over to the new building
Including faculty, labs, classrooms
Benteler will use the first floor of the building for training as the first industrial tennant of the new center
Lab space in the new building will contain new capabilities for BPCC including welding and crane operation
Classrooms on the second and third floors will offer the other traditional course offerings
BPCC instructors and students will have limited access to the lab space on the first floor and will use the training equipment in student lab environment
Outdoor lab environment for programs to experience real-world conditions
