Make sure everyone expresses
their view today
I nominated a colleague for a Service Superhero award. Over the past few days it’s become clear that this person has been excelling in their role, and really driving to make a difference to their customer. Eventually, the lightbulb came alight, and I made the nomination. Different to what I would usually do, but I feel great for taking the step and recognising someone’s efforts.
The Place to Work Day
We have had continual discussions in our team as to what would make this a better place, I have suggested something so let’s see whether we decide to go with it
Really hard to do, which is why it took me two weeks to complete! I finally managed to complete, by sending a Training Manual I had finished creating to a colleague who rarely gets involved in projects. I asked for their opinions and for their input in improving before the final Manual is published.

I chaired the KPI review meeting on behalf of my boss. This meeting is a review of our performance inbound operation and the stock position for the products we import from other countries for the Chocolate category. Lots of preparation required as you are expected to answer lots of questions regarding stock, service and team performance.
In like to do everything myself normally ...not a good trait! But I did empower my SDA to take the decisive action without my guidance and she did ok!
...by doing this I can change the things I do to make this a better working place than it already is
Held my first sole-telephone conference, and explored the new L&D Academy at work.
