There are many reasons why the world is looking toward alternative energy sources. Alternative, or renewable energy, sources show significant promise in helping reduce the amount of toxins produced and help preserve many of the natural resources that we currently have access to. We were graciously given $750 billion dollars in order to fulfill this mission, and fulfill this mission is what we will strive to do.

Waking up to a breath of fresh air, to a drink of clean water, and to a more eco-friendly world is not far from unimaginable. With the use of alternative renewable energy we are introduced to the infinite amount of natural resources, such as sunlight, wind, and water. Unlike fossil fuels, these resources are not toxic to the environment and in return can produce the same amount of energy. Fossil fuels are burned and emitted into the air daily; oil is drilled and contents are spilled into the oceans harming the wildlife and intoxicating the water. Spreading the use of solar panels, wind turbines, and hybrid vehicles can fix and ultimately preserve the world we live in. Our goal is to share this mission with you. Not only do we want to benefit your lives with this opportunity, but we want to change them and the world you live in. What more could you ask for?

Abstract

Alternative
Energy

Our objective is to...
- Increase the use of solar panel systems by putting one in every school, and on any other institution who may be open to the idea. We can use the sunlight to produce electricity without the risk of chemical reaction. (40% of the money is invested)

- Increase the use of wind power, offering the option to place wind turbines for free in every city. It works as an alternative to fossil fuels, it is clean and plentiful, good for the environment, and those reasons are enticing enough to support this natural resource. (30% of the money is invested)

- Introduce "hybrid cars", a more eco-friendly alternative to the gasoline-guzzler. We can reduce the pollution the earth intakes by substituting these cars, and people will be ecstatic getting something that ultimately saves money. (30% of the money is invested)

- The use of fossil fuels releases immense amounts of chemicals into the atmosphere. Not only are they harmful to the environment, but they have been proven to cause illnesses and even death to both humans and animals.

- Just more than 2.5 million metric tons of carbon is produced by power plants, which is frightening.

- The atmosphere naturally absorbs a ton of greenhouse gasses, but the major problem is that it is trapping up to 25 percent more of the sun's radiation because of the annual increases in greenhouse gas emissions.

- Oil spills have destroyed animal habitats along with destroying water and food sources.

Wind Turbines
Hybrid Vehicles
Fact #1- Hybrid cars work by using both fuel and battery, which allows the car to use the energy that normally goes to waste in non-hybrid vehicles.

Fact #2- For example, hybrids like the Toyota Prius, produces 90% less pollutants than non-hybrid vehicles. By putting less toxic chemicals into the environment, the harmful effects of pollution can be suspended.

Fact #3- Hybrids are equipped with systems known as regenerative charging. When stopping your vehicle by applying pressure to the brakes, the gas engine transfers a portion of electrical power back into the battery, concluding automatically recharging the battery.

Fact #4- Hybrids have warranties that provide free replacement of the most expensive parts for many years. That's a plus!

Fact #5- Today, hybrids have much lower depreciation rates than standard gasoline cars. They are high in demand and their popularity continues to increase, making a hybrid car a brave investment.

Hybrid= Less Pollutants= Better For The Environment
Solar Energy= Free!
Solar Panels
Fact #1- Solar Energy is a good source
for renewable energy.

Fact #2- Solar Energy produces no pollutants,
nor harms the environment.

Fact #3- Solar Energy can be used temporarily.
This means that Solar Energy can
be used to power big events such as the
Olympics or The Super Bowl.

Fact #4- Solar Energy is immune to “black outs”.

Fact #5- Solar Panels are practically maintenance free.

Fact #6- Poorly lit areas can be lit using Solar Power and enhances security.

Fact #7- Solar Power can be used at night and on cloudy
days due to its life-long rechargeable batteries.

Fact #1- Wind power is the process of turning energy produced by wind into other forms of renewable energy.

Fact #2- Wind turbines generate electricity.

Fact #3- Modern wind turbines usually contain 3 blades which can reach speeds of 200 mph.

Fact #4- Wind turbines aren't restrained to only land. They can also be installed offshore on floating structures, sending the electricity generated back to land with the help of undersea cables.

Fact #5- Using wind turbines, a person could reach similar savings in greenhouse gasses by:
Planting 85,356 trees per year.
Driving 2,338,400 less miles per year.
Burning 94,372 less gallons of fuel oil per winter.
