A science robot or ASIMO (advanced step in innovative) can preform things such as, cook your dinner, does your homework, cleans your house or even get your groceries.
Where is the robot used? What is the work envelope (how many degrees of freedom or flexible joints does it have)?
The robot ASIMO is used by Honda, and its work envelope is unlimited all the joints can move. ASIMO is capable of reprogramming gestures, phrases, commands, ASIMO can also recognize voices and faces interface with IC.
Is the robotic and effector multi-functional? If so,what other tasks can it perform?
How is the robot taught to perform its task?
ASIMO has a variety of special sensors It has an acceleration sensor, along with a gyroscope sensors. To maintain its stability and orientation. It also contains floor surface senors and ultrasonic senors enable ASMIO to interact with its surroundings. Joint-angle senors and six-axis force sensors to help it mimic the sensory abilities or human skin and muscles.
What sensors does the robot have and how does the robot use these sensors?
Disadvantages: ASIMO takes four hours to charge,
it can only remember a certain amount of people,
It cant think or reason like a human
Advantages: It can move out of the way from pedestrians

What type of jobs/careers can this robot create to provide employment for people?
We predict that ASIMO will become more advanced through technology. My group also thinks in the future he will be able to help with disasters places.
Predict and explain how this robot may be altered to perform more or different tasks in the future?
The robot ASIMO is not taught, he is programmed to do things. Using an MRI machine scientists recorded brain waves of individuals while they made simple hand motions. A robotic hand was able to copy the motions after deciphering the MRI recording.
ASIMO is a Multi-functional robot, the task other things ASIMO can do is pick up objects along with playing instruments and playing sports. ASIMO also plays in movies like I-Robot. ASIMO can also be used to make space suits
