The first technology for the vacuum cleaner occurred in Chicago in 1868 by Ives W. McGaffy. There were many different types of vacuum cleaners. in the Chicago fire in 1871. Vacuum cleaners have helped people because they made it much easier to clean floors and rugs. Before people would have to use a fan shaped item that you would smack against the rug that would make the dust in the rugs fly out. Also if people wanted to sweep their floor you would have to get out a broom. People still use brooms today but a vacuum cleaner cuts the amount of energy you have to do when your cleaning. The heavy duty vacuum cleaner
was able to get out big stains. The lightweight vacuum was easy to move and easy to get under couches, and beds. Robotic vacuum cleaners are easy to use because it cleans by itself. The wet/dry vacuum cleaner got out wet and dry stains in the carpet. Different vacuum cleaners are used for different things The Advantage !
