Cell Analogy
In this presentation, I will be comparing the structure of a plant/animal cell to a house and a family (in which lives inside of the house)
A cell wall is like a house's walls because they both surround and protect everything inside.
Cell Membrane:Front Door
The cell membrane is like the front door of a house because they both control what enters and exits the house or cell.
Nucleus:Parents
The nucleus is like the parents because they both control the activities that happen inside.
Cytoplasm:Sink
Cytoplasm is like a sink in the house because a sink pours out fluids and cytoplasm is a fluid.
Chloroplast:Solar Panels
Chloroplast is like the solar panels on the roof of some houses because they both capture energy and use it for several purposes.
Mitochondria:Lights
Mitochondria is like the lights in a house because lights use energy to produce
brightness and mitochondria is where a cell's energy is produced.
Endoplasmic Reticulum:Hallway
Endoplasmic reticulum is like the hallway in a house because they are both a passageway in which things/people move through.
Cell Wall:House Walls
Vacuole:Kitchen
A vacuole is like the kitchen in a house because they are both where waste, food, and water is stored.
Ribosomes:Food
Ribosomes are like food because eating food is how people get proteins and ribosomes are what produce proteins
Golgi Body:Window
The golgi body is like the windows in a house because a window releases and receives scents and particles in the air and a golgi body releases and receives materials.
Lysosomes:Person's Digestive System.
Lysosomes are like a person's digestive system because they both break down particles using chemicals.
