Effects on Ecosystem
The effects they have an ecosystems are that they infest trees and lays eggs in the deep tunnel and the larvae eat the wood and it makes the tree falls.
Reasons for Success
The beetle has success because they have no natural predators in North America. It can't control its spread and it has unlimited food supply and its very hard to be killed.
Effects on People
The beetle has a physical danger to humans because weaken trees and that makes them fall and it could fall on humans.
They have spread from several asian countries , and also in Canada and North America.
Asian Longhorned Beetle
The beetles were hitchhiked from China in wooden materials . They were first found in Norway Maple Trees in Brooklyn.
Origin Location
How can the impacts be mitigated?
It can be mitigated by cutting down the infested trees.
