This is in the lead singers point of view, and the setting is based off of his past, but it is also in the present, as he in reminisces on his past.
The mood of this song is very nostalgic, it is about an adult who is facing the responsibilities of adulthood, and he is remembering the games he and his brother used to play as kids. It is about how stressful adulthood is.
