Transcript of The Future of Coal

PAST Coal was first discovered in 4,000 B.C. In 1701 coal was discoverd in the U.S by Hugenot settlers along the James River COAL Coal mining started shortly after its discovery later on about 1730 comerical mining came along. Coal began being mainly used for electricity and steel. COAL PAST COAL PRESENT Coal is a big industry in many U.S states today Coal production has increased nearly 70 percent since 1970. Nearly 56 percent of electricity in the U.S is made from coal. Nine percent of coal in america is exported to 40 countries. COAL FUTURE I think people in the U.S will relize that we need coal to run america.
I think we need coal because it give many more jobs for more americans
It also supplies alot of the electricity ina America.
