OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE
OBEs are most likely to occur when you are asleep, meditating or practicing wake-induced lucid dream exercises. Indeed, many dream explorers agree that out-of-body phenomena are extensions of the lucid dream experience.
So, is this proof of the spirit? The afterlife? Alternate dimensions?
New research demonstrates that triggering an out-of-body experience (OBE) could be as simple as getting a person to watch a video of themselves with their heartbeat projected onto it.
According to the study, it's easy to trick the mind into thinking it belongs to an external body and manipulate a person's self-consciousness by externalizing the body's internal rhythms.
The findings could lead to new treatments for people with perceptual disorders such as anorexia and could also help dieters to
Out of body experiences (OBEs or OOBEs) involve the vivid sensation of moving outside your physical body and sometimes traveling far beyond it.

The term "Bermuda Triangle was first used in an article written by Vincent H. Gaddis in a magazine
Along with the bestseller The Bermuda triangle this region has permanently registered as the legend of the "Hoodoo Sea" within popular culture
Columbus sailed through this area in 1492 and wrote in his diary that:

In 1921 an investigation team was set from Barbados to look into the five masted schooner Carroll A. Deering
They found a deserted ship with all crew members gone along with some ship documents
This ship used to sail between London and New York over the Bermuda triangle zone.
In 1881 on the way to New York, the sailors met another ship which was moving in good speed. strangely, no one was on board.
Captain sent one of his crew member to guide so they can all reach New York
After two days two ships were separated by the huge sea storm
When the storm subsided, the unnamed ship and crew member was gone and never found again

Stonhenge has fascinated thousands of people for ages making
them wonder about it's origin.
Scientists and historians are still unable to come to a solid theory of
when, why, by whom, and how it was built.
A countless number of propositions following the fashions of the age
have been suggested regarding it's origin.Accordingly the Stonehenge
found it's place in the following theories.
One of the most popular beliefs was that Stonehenge was built by the Druids, high priests of the Celts.
They used it for religious and sacrificial purposes.
However , through radiocarbon dating, scientists have discovered that Stonehenge was built over a 1000 years before the Celts ever inhabited this region, thereby eliminating this age old theory.
A more modern theory suggests that three tribes built Stonehenge at
three different times.
THE NEOLITHIC AGRARIANS
THE BEAKER FOLKS
THE WESSEX PEOPLE
In the 1960s, the astronomer Gerald Hawkins suggested that
the cluster of megalithic stones operated as an astronomical
calendar, with different points corresponding to astrological
phenomena such as solstices, equinoxes and eclipses.
A nearby ancient settlement, Durrington Walls, shows evidence of more pork consumption during the midwinter, suggesting that perhaps ancient people made pilgrimages to Stonehenge for the winter solstice.
The site also faces the sunrise during the summer solstice, and thousands of visitors still flock to the site every year to celebrate at that time.
SOME OTHER THEORIES
Amazing acoustics, with the cavernous echoes found typically in a lecture hall or a cathedral.
Stonehenge sound illusion:
Huge boulders known to block sound effectively leading to the cancellation of sounds from two different sources.
Produces sounds like hollow wooden or metallic bells, covering long distances, believed to have been a form of primitive communication,or used much like church bells today.
The mysterious monument may have once been a burial ground for the elite, according to one study.Thousands of skeletal fragments have been exhumed from the area, which dates back to 3000 B.C.Archaeologists have also unearthed a possible incense bowl and a mace head, an object usually associated with the elite in ancient society.
Many of the skeletons buried near the site bear marks of illness or injury, leading scientists to propose the site was a spot for ancient healing. Lending credence to that theory, many of Stonehenge's bluestones have been chipped away over the ages, perhaps by long-lost pilgrims seeking protective or healing talismans from the location.
The Stonehenge looms over the landscape, taunting us with it's mystery. One viewing this powerful structure gets the distinct impression that they are in the presence of something very important. Something with a purpose that perhaps has still, after all these centuries, not been utilized. For over 5000 years it has stood silent vigil over the earth.
An excerpt from a 14th century icelandic saga speaks of the hafgufa(sea mist), the largest monster in the sea. It is the nature of this creature to swallow men and ships, and even whales and everything else within reach.
The Hafgufa is a reference to the kraken. The kraken is a huge sea monster believed to exist in scandinavian areas.
The English word kraken is taken from Norwegian. In Norwegian and Swedish, it refers to a word designating an unhealthy animal or something twisted.
Tales originate from accounts of sailors who recount experiences of their ships and vessels being destroyed by this monster.
Carolus Linnaeus classified the kraken as a cephalopod, in the first edition of his Systema Naturae (1735). But this was soon discarded due to lack of scientific evidence.
The Kraken is popular in modern entertainment. It served as the primary antagonist in the movie: Clash of the Titans

Kraken in popular culture
The myth busted:
After rigorous research, scientists have come to the conclusion that the Kraken might have been a humongous giant squid. These monsters of the deep generally grow to about 50 ft and are known to feed on sharks and fishes.
Despite what science has proved, we will never know about the true nature of the mighty Kraken. The oceans are vast and unfathomable. What lies beneath is not for the likes of men to know.
The Nazca Lines
The Nazca Lines are a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in southern
The largest figures are over 200 metres (660 ft) across!
What’s so special? They are visible from space!
They consist of Hundreds are simple lines or geometric shapes; more than
are zoomorphic designs of animals and humans.
• The first mention of the Nazca lines in print was by Pedro Cieza de León in his book of 1553, where he mistook them for trail markers.
• Paul Kosok, a historian from Long Island University, is credited as the first scholar to seriously study the Nazca Lines.
In the country in 1940-41 to study ancient irrigation systems, he flew over the lines and realized that one was in the shape of a bird. Another chance helped him see how lines converged at the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.
He was joined by Maria Reiche, a German mathematician and archaeologist.
They proposed the reasons for the existence of the figures: to be markers on the horizon to show where the sun and other celestial bodies rose.
Archaeologists, historians and mathematicians have all struggled to determine the purpose of the lines.
Determining how they were made has been easier than figuring why they were made.
Scholars have theorized the Nazca people could have used simple tools and surveying equipment to construct the lines. Archaeological surveys have found wooden stakes in the ground at the end of some lines, which support this theory.
The scholar Joe Nickell of the University of Kentucky has reproduced the figures by using tools and technology available to the Nazca people, without any aerial assistance.
• The National Geographic called his work "remarkable in its exactness" when compared to the actual lines.
Kosok and Reiche advanced a purpose related to astronomy and cosmology: the lines were intended to act as a kind of observatory, to point to the places on the distant horizon where the sun and other celestial bodies rose or set in the solstices.
Many prehistoric indigenous cultures in the Americas and elsewhere constructed earthworks that combined such astronomical sighting with their religious cosmology, as did the later Mississippian culture at Cahokia in present-day United States. Another example is Stonehenge in England.
But Gerald Hawkins and Anthony Aveni, experts in archaeoastronomy, concluded in 1990 that there was insufficient evidence to support such an astronomical explanation.
The Timeless art of the Nazca People brings to mind the words of H.G. Longfellow in his poem 'A Psalm of life'
" Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time . "
