The History Of Fringe
It started 1947, when eight theatre groups turned up uninvited to perform at the Edinburgh International Festival. Not being part of the festival didn’t stop them and they staged they’re act.
More and more people started to follow their example and in 1958 the festival Fringe was created.

What is the Fringe?
The Fringe festival is a collection of performances that are shown in Edinburgh.
It can include theatre, comedy, dance, physical theatre, cabaret, children's shows, musicals, operas, music, spoken word, exhibitions and events.
