The Italian society during WWII was in turmoil. Not only was Italy suffering from WWI but was also having government problems. The people feared a socialist reform so they started to form small National Fascist parties led by Mussolini. Also the Italian army was barley holding. The country was militarily weak and economically. weak.Long story short, life in Italy was not good.
