a journey through the 60's decade The Beatles iN 1964 this English rock band, changed
the style of music and fashion such
as hair length. Also their music inspired a new group of people that reinforced the wanting of peace, these were later called hippies. In 1961 John F Kennedy became
the president of the United States but he dies two years after in November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas Elections Vietnam War In 1965 when President Johnson ordered
bombing raids on Vietnam, the rest
of the Americans began protesting the war. The Olympic Games Rome hosted the
Olympic games in 1960 and Wilma Rudolph became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field. In 1963 Martin Luther King made his famous speech which made a big impact in the black rights called "I Have a Dream". he dies few years later in 1968 Black Rights Medicine In 1967 the first heart transplant was succesful in Capetown In 1968 Shirley Chisholm was elected as the first black woman to congress Congress Elections MAN ON †HE MOON Neil Armstrong and the Apollo 11 landed on the moon in 1969. Neil Armstrong gave the speech for the historical steps. The End WWIII In 1962 The Cuban missile crisis became the closest threat to a third world war.
