HOW TO GET LUNG CANCER
Topic 5
HOW TO CURE LUNG CANCER
Heavy exposure to environmental tobacco smoke at work has been shown to double the risk of lung cancer. Cigarette smoking is the main cause of lung cancer. But pipe and cigar smokers are still much more likely to get lung cancer than non smokers. They are also much more likely to get cancer of the mouth or lip.
WHAT IS LUNG CANCER

Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that start off in one or both lungs; usually in the cells that line the air passages. The abnormal cells do not develop into healthy lung tissue, they divide rapidly and form tumors.

WHAT IS THE 3 STAGES OF LUNG CANCER
Stages of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. Stage I: The cancer is located only in the lungs and has not spread to any lymph nodes. Stage II: The cancer is in the lung and nearby lymph nodes. Stage III: Cancer is found in the lung and in the lymph nodes in the middle of the chest, also described as locally advanced disease.
THE LUNG CANCER RIBBON
Non small cell lung cancer can be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or a combination of these, depending on the stage when the cancer is diagnosed. Some people with advanced lung cancer may have biological therapy.
