This was the start of stereotypes towards women being backed up by science.
1.physically smaller = less stamina
2.menstruation=physically incapacitated monthly
3.reproduction system=nervous system was weaker
Because women were stereotyped as a "weaker creature" they were seen as more prone to sickness and disease during this time making women the face of advertisements for medicine.

Witch Hunts of the Middle Ages
-One of the earliest forms of violence directed towards all women(not just wives) because of there sex

- Women begin advertising birth control which would begin to give women economic freedom if they could control whether to raise children or not
- 1920 the 19th Amendment is passed to give women voting rights along side men
-The government and society begins to lessen there sexist views against women and men doing the same things
