Transcript of SISTER CITY PRESENTATION


To serve as a liaison between WVC and Nantou, Tawain in providing a beneficial relationship for both cities that promotes economic, cultural, and educational benefits.
2014 TAIWAN VISIT
Nantou invited WVC to participate in a visit to further these three objectives and join with Nantou City in celebrating the Latern Festival.
ECONOMIC
COLLABORATION
Two days were spent visiting businesses of Nantou and discussing best practices on how to generate desired economic results.
CULTURAL AWARENESS
Throughout this visit, best practices for cultural awareness and responsibility were demonstrated in a variety of ways.
EDUCATIONAL
ADVANCEMENT
The visit also consisted of discussing the possibilities for enhancing the current student exchange program to include more opportunities for students to learn and share from one another.
MOVING FORWARD
Adding to the current advantages of the Sister City relationship with Nantou, there are some additional areas in which this relationship can become even better.
