Transcript of Qiraati
Early 70's Qiraati books are practice and began to spread around the village mosques at Semarang district.
In 1980, this method began to spread beyond of Semarang especially the area around the city of Yogyakarta.
The first person that use this method outside of Semarang is Al- Fadhil Ustaz Hj Asad Ahumam, author of Iqra' books who’s is Ustaz Dahlan’s student.
May 1991, Qiraati system was first introduced in Malaysia by Ustaz Masruh Ahmad and Prof Dato’ Dr Harun Din Al-Hafiz appointed as adviser At first this method consists of ten volumes of books for children aged six years and above. Then, it updated into eight volumes, six volumes and finally five volumes.
At 1996, this method consists of two parts, namely Qiraati books for children and Qiraati for adults. Qiraati for children have five books & Qiraati for adults consists of three books.
This method begins by introducing Hijaiyyah letter until more difficult subjects in volume five such as reading Qalqalah letters and others. Upon completion of five books, the students will be trained to read Juzu 'Amma and thus al-Quran Mushaf Rasm Uthmani. July 1999, Al-Munir Qiraati was established and currently known as as-Safwan Qiraati.
The principal of this centre is Ustaz Nasirudin bin Mohd Ghazali.

Ustaz Nasirudin has high vision in order to create a generation of savvy, smart and even the Quran. Thus armed with the experience and knowledge that he got, he was confident that the methods of teaching the Quran through Qiraati integrated system capable of guiding children toward learning more effective than conventional methods of the past. Nurul Farihah bt. Abu Bakar 1091038 Qualification in Qiraati Teaching teaching qualifications are required and in accordance with the guidelines set up by the panel of Qiraati Malaysia, the candidates must fluently in tajwid and Osmani test before they are given permission to teach using this method.

There are two methods of teaching, grouping and individual.
There are Quran recite sessions individually / recital / tajwid /memorizing selected surah / memorization of daily prayer and zikr after shalat / jawi's writing.
Taught shalat practical ways. Syllabus of volume 1-5 Volume 1: Hijaiyyah letter without kasrah, fathah & dhommah
Recite the fathah letters
Recite jointed letters with fathah. Volume 2: Recite dhommah letter sound 'U'.
Recite fathatain sound 'an'.
Recite kasrotain sound 'in'.
Recite dhommatain sound 'un'.
Recognize mad asli. Volume 3: Mim sukun letter cannot be recite dengung
Dhommah followed by wau sound 'u' recite longer.
letters of alif lam sukun be recite as lam sukun Volume 4: Recite nun sukun with dengung.
Tanwin recite dengung as nun sukun because same sound.
Nun tasydid recite with 2 harakat Volume 5: Nun sukun or tanwin followed by wau letter, so sound of nun sukun or tanwin included into wau letter and will be recite with dengung.
Nun sukun or tanwin followed by ya' letter, so sound of nun sukun or tanwin will be change into mim sukun letter. Advantages of Qiraati Method Teaching & learning actively.
To build student confidence in reciting.
Student are able to pronounce by using arabic language.
Students are able to recognize the sound of hijaiyyah letter & letter's makhraj.
Student can differentiate the recitation of qalqalah letters.
