What would happen if all bacteria died? What does bacteria do for us? Bacteria play an important role in the nitrogen cycle Bacteria are the biggest group of decomposeres on Earth Bacteria live in all of us So when bacteria disappear... The Nitrogen cycle collapses... Animals and plants can no longer obtain nitrogen that is essential for survival The vast majority of decomposers will be gone... Dead organic matter will be all over the place, it will take a very long time for them to decompose There will be no more bacteria in our bodies... We will not be able to digest and do other activities that ensures our survival EVEN THOUGH bacteria can be harmful sometimes... ... how could we survive without bacteria? Without Bacteria, our world will become a dead place...
