ARTIFICIAL FERTILISERS - WATER TREATMENT
Transcript of ARTIFICIAL FERTILISERS - WATER TREATMENT
- WATER TREATMENT
most commonly used artificial fertiliser is ammonium nitrate,
. It is obtained when
Ammonia + Nitric Acid Ammonium nitrate
WHAT ARE ARTIFICIAL FERTILISERS AND WHAT ARE THE PROBLEMS
- inorganic and manufactured chemicals, used to add nutrients to the soil to promote soil fertility and increase plant growth.
PROBLEMS NOW AND PREDICTION
Any nitrogen and phosphate based synthetic fertilizers leach into groundwater and increase its toxicity, causing water pollution.
If the world continues as is, more water will be polluted and the amount of drinkable water will decrease substantially. This will effect our health since water is the most essential element of life. More money will be spent on medical institution.
If solutions, like
mixing synthetic fertiliser well into the soil to prevent runoff
diluting water-soluble synthetic fertiliser well before use to prevent fertiliser burn
considering to switch to organic fertilisers which are safer and cause no pollution
are put in place now, the chance of upsetting the ecosystem will decrease.
