Painted for Duke Ludovico Sforza and his Duchesses The Last Supper Space and Light Historical Style Subject Technique Symbolism Personal Interpretation This painting is showing some of the religious side to Da Vinci

One of the more notable stories in the bible depicting the last meal he had before his crucifixion based off of John 13:21 Leonardo used a vanishing point centered at Jesus's head

Most of everyone's eyes are focused at Jesus

His painting was not a true fresco Groups of three's (windows, people, etc) representing the holy trinity

Heaven like scenery in windows

Knife in hand of Peter showing power of the Church

Judas has a small bag of money that is thought to be the payment he got for selling out Juses Used vanishing points above Jesus
