What is KPOP? ~Trot music is the first type of music in the KPOP generations. ~ Originating in South Korea, it became popular in the 1990's. ~After becoming well-known in 1995, entertainment companies like SM, DSP, JYP, and YG Entertainment started to give them record deals. ~These agencies spent over $400,000 to train and launch a new artist. ~The 1st Kpop group was called Seo Taji and Boys (1996). Their music style was mainly focused around rock and R&B.
~They were the 1st highly successful band in the kpop industry! OLD SKOOL KPOP! H.O.T (High-five Of Teenagers) Debuted in 1996 with an album called, "We hate all kinds of violence"...
But because of plagerizm controversies, there were lawsuits, so they took a short hiatus.
Despite that, they released a 2nd album in 1997 and they released their 1st hit single called 'Candy'
They all went their seperate ways in 2001. But.... This genre of music, in the beginning was more popular in South Korea until the mid-2000s where the Hallyu Wave came in to play... WHAT IS THE HALLYU WAVE?! The Hallyu Wave (aka Korean Wave) is a KPOP music inspired MIRACLE that arrays how KPOP is infecting many people internationally and oversees.

Monday Kiz Kpop is literally like a drug to some people. They get so addicted to their favorite artists, that they go to the EXTREME just to be remembered by them.... EVEN IF ITS FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS... These "fans" are called Sasaeng (sah-sang).
Sasaeng fans are excessively obsessed stalkers!
They use over $60,000 a year for "Sasaeng taxis" and more! They sleep and linger outside of their buildings and apartments... 1 fan even threw a bag of rocks at an artist because she wanted to be remembered badly... ~They skip school or even go as far as dropping out!
~Some women still stalk them even while their pregnant.
~If they run out of money, some Sasaengs go into prostitution.
~They install cameras in their homes
~To mark their territories, they leave urine and feces on their floor
~They pull them by their hair
~And if a Sasaeng breaks a Sasaeng rule, they get badly assulted by the other Sasaengs. There's a dark side to everything... ON THE Brighter SIDE!! Kpop has been accepted by over 793,574,005 people world wide! Kpop is not only known for its music, but also for the sharp dance moves that go with most of the songs. People hugely comment it for its beautiful artists and powerful vocals! Fan Rice! When fans donate rice to a charity under their favorite artist's name. They donate the rice using tall gift baskets called Towers. Here's some rice balls! Was it accepted by all? Kpop is a genre that can take a little time to grow on you because its not like the music you're used to. The difference between Kpop and another countries music is really big. In America, Kpop is loved mostly on the east and the west coasts. Also, because of a language barrier, a lot of people ignore the music because they don't understand it. But Kpop fans who have accepted it, look past the barrier and just enjoy the music! However, Kpop is spreading more and more quickly nowadays in the U.S. and other parts of the world.
