World History Time Line
Enlightenment, the development of a middle class, and a depression lead to the French revolution. France decided to revolt because they didn't want to have kings or queens anymore and wanted to have a democracy.
The American Revolution
The American Revolution was when the 13 colonies where trying to break away from British control. After they broke away from Britain they called the 13 colonies, America.
The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution was a time when technology, agriculture, and manufacturing advanced and spread through England, France, Japan, and America.

The Great Depression
World War II
France and Britain declared war on Germany because Germany invaded Poland. Britain, France, and Poland have a treaty together. During WWII Jews were put into consentration camps or killed. The Allies won WWII.
French and Indian war
Applying science to government, religion, and the world. Enlightenment thinkers thought about the world in different ways then most.
Britain and France fought in a 7 year war, because they both wanted to claim the land west of the Appalachian mountains.
The French Revolution
1789 - 1799
Napoleonic era 1799- 1815
The final stage of the French revolution. A time when the Directory was being overthrown and accepted the French Consulate.
Imperialism in the Americas, Africa, and Asia is when other countries tried to take over and claim these lands.
Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, because nationalist from Serbia killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. Then France Germany, Great Britain, Russia, and the US became part of the war.
The great depression started when the stock market crashed. Many people lost their Jobs through out North America and though out Europe. As the people were loosing their jobs and their homes they learned the meaning of sacrifice.
Korean War 1950-1953
The Korean War stated because North Korea crossed the 38Th parallel and invaded south Korea. The U.N. forced North Korea back. An armistice agreement was signed ending the War.
The Cuban Missile Crisis
The Cuban Missile Crises was almost a nuclear war. Because both the US and the Soviet Union had missiles placed on Cuba. Then both countries agreed to remove their missiles.
Berlin Wall 1961- 1989
The Berlin wall was built to keep fascists from going into eastern Germany. President Ronald Reagan gave speeches to tear it down.
The Vietnam War
The Vietnam war was fought to keep communism from spreading throughout the world. The vietnamese people won the war. So Vietnam is communist.
Persian Gulf War 1990 - 1991
This war started because the leader of Iraq invaded Kuwait. The war went on until the American soldiers ceasefire and ended the war.
GPS stands for Global positioning system. Gives location information on weather from a satellite.
A fundamental group that controlled afghanistan. Mullah Mohammed Omar was their leader.
When terrorists flew air-planes into the twin towers in New York the pentagon in Washington, Dc
The war in Afghanistan
The US wanted Osama bin Laden because of the attack on 9/11. After the Taliban and Al-Queda refused to hand him over the US and UN attacked.
The Iraq War 2003-2011
Bush believed that he should do something because Iraq had a weapons of mass destruction. These kinds of weapons can cause widespread death or destruction. During the Iraq war Saddam was captured.
