egocentrism is the enemy of ethics. our american arrogance and apathy is keeping us from doing what is truly great, investing where it makes a difference, in people.

reasons we choose
to do nothing 4 IGNORANCE ARROGANCE COWARDICE APATHY ignorance we sit on our pillowed couches pitifully unaware of all that needs to be done around the world, in our own neighborhood, and even in our own home. we've seldom seen anyone up close who "does something" worth doing. something that matters. living selfless. a worthwhile life.

"no one ever taught me" and "I don't know how" are not viable excuses. working enough to make enough to do enough for yourself is not the life that should have been modeled for you. don't perpetuate it.

DO SOMETHING. LIVE WORTHWHILE. arrogance we get so wrapped up in our lives as if we are the star of our own movie. the sobering truth is that all humans are messed up and all humans mess up. no exceptions.

if our strength, resources and wisdom terminate on us we have wasted a life that could have had real worth. if you try to build your legacy on yourself it is doomed but if your legacy is built on the ever younger, you become part of a legacy that lives forever.

DO SOMETHING. LIVE WORTHWHILE. cowardice why do we fear offending each other? if you really care, then some truths are worth offending the populace you care about, even those in authority.

fear is based in a selfishness that refuses to surrender comfort for the sake of others. life worth living mandates suffering and sacrifice. live heroic.

arriving safely at death is not the goal of life.

DO SOMETHING. LIVE WORTHWHILE. apathy how tragic that so much that is worthwhile goes undone, not because we are incapable or because the world lacks needs but because we simply do not care enough.

there may be nothing quite as heartbreaking as people with any semblance of means wasting all of their potential to make a difference in the lives of others because we refuse to take the initiative to invest and intervene in the life of another human who would truly benefit from our proximity.
