Haiti Geography Haiti covers 10,714 square miles.

Located in the subtropics on the Western third of Hispaniola.

Second largest island in the Caribbean.

Borders Dominican Republic.

Culture Less then one doctor to every 8000 people.

A colony of France and dependent of slaves for sugarcane fields

The population of slave in 1791 was 480,000.
Facts The country's main religion is Catholicism.

The is no middle class for social status. Your either rich or poor

A lot of the characteristics of Haiti are mostly from French and Spainsh cultures.

Haiti was run by the French and the Spanish so they have so much in there culture.

Anything can help clothing, food, and money. People need your help and it wont hurt to help out. In Haiti music and arts are a big part of the culture.
