Also avoid processed and fried foods. -the unsaturated fats in fish can reduce your risk for heart disease
and protect your heart against abnormal heartbeats.
" The University of Minnesota" When preparing fish, try heart-healthy cooking techniques such as grilling, broiling, baking, and steaming — studies didn’t find any benefits from fried fish. Too much salt contributes to high blood pressure, which can increase your risk for atrial fibrillation and make symptoms harder to control, fruits and vegetables provide the most nutrition, fiber, minerals, and vitamins for the least amount of calories you should avoid foods loaded with sugar and fat, such as processed baked goods, candy, and sugary sodas. Vitamins Vit. C Vit. B Complex Vit. E The antioxidant properties and the anti-inflammatory action of vitamin C contribute to reducing cardiac stress and help to control atrial fibrillation. particularly vitamin B6 and B12, are essential to maintain optimal blood circulation and help in the production of healthy red blood cells. Vitamin B complex supplements help to reduce stress on the heart and prevent atrial fibrillation Antioxidants in Vitamin E help to reduce the formation of plaque on the walls of arteries, paving the way for smoother blood circulation Vit. D is essential for the absorption of dietary calcium in the body, and it is established that depletion of the levels of minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium can trigger atrial fibrillation. A heart in atrial fibrillation doesn't beat efficiently. It may not be able to pump enough blood out to your body with each heartbeat. Some people with atrial fibrillation have no symptoms and are unaware of their condition until it's discovered during a physical examination. Those who do have atrial fibrillation symptoms may experience: • Palpitations, which are sensations of a racing, uncomfortable, irregular heartbeat or a flopping in your chest
• Decreased blood pressure
• Weakness
• Lightheadedness
• Confusion
• Shortness of breath
• Chest pain This type of irregular heart rhythm, also known as an arrhythmia, is the most common serious irregular heartbeat, especially in people over 60.

Your heart's rhythm is normally controlled by a structure in the upper part of your heart called the sinoatrial node. This node sends an electrical signal to the rest of your heart that keeps your heart beating at about 60 to 100 beats a minute. This is known as your normal sinus rhythm. In atrial fibrillation, the sinoatrial node does not direct the heartbeat. Rather, it causes heartbeats to start from many locations in upper chambers of the heart, or the atria. "These irregular heartbeats all over the atria cause the upper part of the heart to quiver like a bag of worms," Causes of Atrial Fibrillation The cause of atrial fibrillation can vary from person to person, and sometimes it’s difficult to determine. In many cases, there is a combination of causes. "The most common causes are high blood pressure or an abnormal heart valve," Other causes of atrial fibrillation include:

Coronary artery disease (the clogging of the arteries of the heart that may cause a heart attack)
Heart failure
Heart defects you are born with
Pericarditis (an infection of the lining of the sac that surrounds the heart)
An overactive thyroid gland Specific Indications and Uses Dose The dose of tincture of cactus is from a fraction of a drop to 10 drops; of specific cactus, a fraction of a drop to 5 drops. Impaired heart-action, whether feeble, violent, or irregular; cardiac disorder, with nervousness, praecordial oppression, anxiety, apprehension of danger, or death; hysteria; tobacco heart; nervous disorders, with heart complications. it acts upon the circular cardiac fibers, whereas digitalis acts upon all the muscular fibers of the heart. General INF. Medicinal Uses Toxicity The best-known species is the common foxglove, Digitalis purpurea The term digitalis is also used for drug preparations that contain cardiac glycosides, particularly one called digoxin, extracted from various plants of this genus. A group of medicines extracted from foxglove plants are called Digitalin. The use of D. purpurea extract containing cardiac glycosides for the treatment of heart conditions . It is used to increase cardiac contractility (it is a positiveinotrope) and as an antiarrhythmic agent to control the heart rate, particularly in the irregular (and often fast) atrial fibrillation. Digitalis toxicity results from an overdose of digitalis and causes anorexia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, as well as sometimes resulting in xanthopsia (jaundice) and the appearance of blurred outlines (halos). Bradycardia also More serious toxicity occurs with intentional ingestions by adolescents and adults. Digoxin The main pharmacological effects of digoxin are on the heart. the heart rate is decreased, while blood pressure increases as the stroke volume is increased, leading to increased tissue perfusion. The conduction velocity increases in the atria, but decreases in the AV node. The effect upon Purkinje fibers and ventricles is negligible. Automaticity is also increased, in the atria, AV node, Purkinje fibers and ventricles. Digoxin also affects the kidney by increased renal blood flow and increased glomerular filtration rate. A mild diuretic effect is seen only in heart failure. Digoxin has potentially dangerous interactions with verapamil, amiodarone, erythromycin, and epinephrine Outlines of the presentation :-
