The mission of DOT is to create fast, safe, efficient, accessible and convenient transportation that will enhance the quality of life of Americans.
Dot stimulates economic growth
employs over 60,000 people
DOT allows the US to maintain power by out-building other countries
DOT presses for public safety (ex. aviation safety, highway safety, pipeline safety
DOT helps build highways in rural areas thus allowing civilians to easily access jobs, healthcare and education
DOT manages many forms of transportation (which are not limited to): automobiles, roadways, bridges, pipelines and hazment, trucking and motercoaches, aviation
DOT takes part in safe driving regulations
Carpool lanes will become fast track lanes and will charge citizens
Air travel will become more expensive
A large number of people will become unemployed thus increasing the unemployment rate
Other countries such as China will out-build America and soon rise to power
U.S will suffer a longer recession period as no money will be circulating in the economy
Roads and bridges will not be fixed thus becoming a hazard to pedestrians
