This law was created to achieve National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). The government authorizes the EPA, Environmental Protection Agency, to establish NAAQS to protect public health and welfare. Household We create a healthier environment in our household by regularly cleaning our heating systems, stoves, and chimneys. Our chimneys can play a huge factor in carbon monoxide emissions. They can be blocked or clogged due to improper cleaning. Opening a window while burning wood or coal in a fireplace also helps vent out the home because it allows fresh air into the house and prevents carbon monoxide build up. Business Firms Agencies such as the EPA, Environmental Protection Agency, enforces laws passed by the government to create a healthier environment for the people.
