Burj Khalifa The Burj Khalifa stands at a whopping 828 meters (2,716.5 feet) and more than 160 stories tall, For the weight and height they had to design a new structural system. This new design is called the buttress core.
That will allow architects in the future to be able to design buildings taller and bigger. The buttress core is designed with three buttresses, and a hexagonal core. That allows the building to have more structural support. The buttress core Construction The burj khalifa has broken 7 world records.
