Segmenting the kidneys
Click on the 'Organ' tool under the analysis tab
Renal Vein measurements

Select all the phases under Renal CT in vitrea and open in advanced viewer
Measuring the kidneys
Measured in double oblique
Along the renal hila and the renal axis
Left click and select the kidneys. Add them under name of kidney (as a separate object)
Add the kidneys on either side and check the box besides Kidneys object tab to show kidney on 3D
Renal artery segmentation
Click on 'vessel' tool under analysis tab
Add the renal arteries and juxta renal aorta under 'vessels' layer
Change the colour to 'Vessel Calcium' under 'Change color' tab of the vessel layer
Create a 'Batch' of 3D VR image
Check both 'Kidneys' and 'vessel' layer in 3D image
Increase the transparency of 'Kidneys' layer to around 50%
Distance to Renal artery bifurcation
Select 'vessel probe' tool under vessel analysis
Left click with 'vessel probe' tool on the right and left renal arteries to add them
Use 'length' tool to measure the distance of renal artery bifurcation from renal artery ostia
Once selected, label them as Right and left renal artery
Select the “curved reference” tab located at the right lower corner of screen
Move the blue bars to take measurements. Measure the exit from the IVC up to the confluence, and label this “Renal vein confluence.”
On left side, measure the distance of gonadal vein and adrenal vein from IVC.
Take a snapshot of each of these after labeling them.
For the right side, measure up to the confluence only, and take a snapshot.
Use either arterial phase or nephrographic images
Move the centerline, and place the green points along the renal vein going from the one kidney to the other. Once you reach the kidneys, the end point can be behind the kidneys.
Go to the delayed phase images.
Use the vessel grow tool, and click on the collecting system. Click “add to urogram
Scroll up and down to make sure you have everything, and click to add areas
Create a 'Batch' of the VR images.
Add bones and base layer to the VR image but increase the transparency of base to 50-70%
Uncheck modified presets
Auto remove bone
