smoothed his wisps of gray hair
raised his bottle a fraction in response
eased his bulk up out of his chair
walk with a curios tensed-up, limping motion
stepped farther into the gloom
pulled a crumpled roll from his pants pocket

wisps of gray hair
he was six feet five and 250 pounds
an overhanging brow
small wide eyes

Jack Reacher First Event
A man maybe sixty, meduim height, and bulky had just stepped through the door. He glanced around into the bar before he stepped farther into the gloom. The bar was a low room built from old boards dried to a dark color. His hair was meduim length and pushed back onto his skull. After he ordered his drink he smoothed his wisps of gray hair. He said something to the bartender and then the bartender glanced away like he had been insulted. The man stood up from his stool and swaggered over to sit next to me. Now that he was closer I could see his small wide eyes, his bulky face, and his overhanging brow. We were in the southern most part of the U.S.A. We were in Key West. The time was around 4:00 a.m. and there was a fierce temperate. He raised the beer bottle to his lips then nodded his head at me and asked if I was Jack Reacher. I lied and said no because there was no reason not to. I liked to be invisible and unknown. After he made sure I wasn't he pulled a crumpled roll from his pocket and dropped it on the table then eased his bulk up out of his chair. i watched as he slowly walked back out of the door and then he turned and waved goodbye to me.
