The Hopi lived on the Highlands of Northwestern Arizona. They lived there for 1,000´s of years. Also lived on reservations
The Hopi are known for pottery. woven items, and kachina dolls.
Uto-Aztecan is the language of the Hopi people.

The Hopi religion is very complex. They have a belief with many Gods and Spirits. Sky Father, Earth Mother, the Masaw(the world's gaurdian spirits), and the Moon Kachinas(invisible spirits of live).

Daily Life
The Hopi preformed rituals and grew crops. The women cook, grind cornmeal, and made pottery. Men weave, discipline children, tend to crops on women land, craved Kachina dolls, and danced in rituals.

The Indian Reorganization act of 1934 changed the Hopi's tribal government. They established a Tribal Council in 1936.
