How do plants grow? Created by: Stacey Hostetler EDIM 508 Digital Media in the Classroom This presentation has been created for second graders to
develop a foundation of plants. This introduction to plants
and their life cycle will help students better understand just
how plants grow and what happens to them as they grow.
Students will be able to view this presentation during a whole
group instruction and then participate in further activities during
their center time. Seeds Plants What to do next... Citations Videos Images What did you learn about seeds? Using your graphic organizer,
write down three things you learned. What does a plant really need? Now that you've seen some of the needs of a plant, what are they? List the different needs of plants on your graphi organizer. How does a plant get or make what it needs? How do plants make food? How do plants get water? How do plants get air? Consider additional sources for worksheets
and activities dealing with plants.
