to support the body and to give it shape

to provide scaffolding for muscles to allow movement
to store minerals and make blood cells

LIGAMENTS - parts of the body that hold joints together

Smooth muscle is found within the walls of many bodily organs
When your stomach growls because you are hungry it is due to contractions of smooth muscle in your stomach
