Advantages of a green roof Results A rooftop planting greatly increases the available amount of green space in any urban or suburban environment

-is a important component of our strategy to combat climate change
- green roofs can help urban spaces also called "heat islands" because they can reduce warming trends by cooling and humidifying the surrounding air
